Consider maintaining proper lubrication using fluids recommended by the manufacturer as these usually have the right degree of viscosity minimizing friction failures.

Usually, a cast iron alloy is used, however, there are alternatives such as those made with titanium material that stands out for its resistance, others more than such as forged steel that provides a combination of resistance-durability.
