Backhoe controls

Backhoe controls

The controls described below allow you to operate items such as stick, boom, and bucket. Elements that provide stabilization and control the reaches are considered too.

Standard (universal) pattern for handling the stick, boom, and service tool.

Left-hand control.

Up: Lower the boom towards the ground. Down: Lift the boom into the air. Left: Turn the boom to the left. Right: Turn the boom to the right.

Right-hand control:

Up: Move the stick away from the cab. Down: Bring the stick towards the cab. Left: To close the service bucket (for digging). Right: To close the service bucket (for dumping).

Extension mechanism

Some backhoes are equipped with an extendable stick that gives the equipment greater reach concerning cutting curves. This function is usually activated through a pedal positioned just to the right of the joysticks that operate the stick and boom.

-Presionar la parte delantera del pedal permite una extensión de las dimensiones del stick. -Presionar la parte trasera del pedal permite la retracción de cotas en el stick.

Stabilizers. The stabilizers allow a correct leveling of the machine and must be used before operating the machine. With your view positioned in the section of the backhoe bucket, you will find two levers that control the left and right stabilizers of the equipment. The two possible functions will be:

-Up: Lower the stabilizer. -Down: Lift the stabilizer.

We advise you to be careful when raising the stabilizers because they can be the only means of support for the equipment to prevent it from falling. If you are operating on slopes, you must add the parking brake before raising the stabilizers.
